No, an Internet connection is not required for the inverter to operate. In fact, the inverter can operate independently of the Internet connection. The presence ofan Internet connection simply enables remote access to production data. If you don't have Internet access, you can connect directly to the inverter via an Ethernet cable (RJ42) to view production data. So even without the Internet, the inverter operates efficiently.
