Solar panels: finance them with third-party investment

With third-party investment, a company can install photovoltaic panels on its roof without spending a single euro. And significantly reduce your electricity bills. How is this possible?

The price of photovoltaic panels has fallen sharply over the past 10 years. Even so, for a company, investing in solar energy can quickly add up to tens of thousands of euros.

Don't have the cash you need? Would you rather keep your financial resources for your business? Soltis offers you "the" solution: third-party investment.

What is third-party solar investment?

An all-in package for your photovoltaic panels. You don't take care of anything. And best of all... you pay nothing! Soltis invests the sum needed to purchase, install, insure, monitor and maintain your solar panels. You don't need to apply for green certificates either. Nor to handle the legal aspects. We'll take care of everything for you. As the icing on the cake, you increase your independence from the power grid, your electricity bill drops sharply and you protect yourself from energy price fluctuations!

According to the Region, a feasibility study is carried out for roofs of 500m2 or more.

Third-party investment too good to be true?

It's a legitimate question. But third-party investment is a serious business. But it's true, there is compensation for the third-party investor. In exchange for financing your photovoltaic system, Soltis retains ownership of it for 10 years (the term of the contract). And you hand over the revenue from green certificates.

However, at the end of these 10 years, and for a symbolic 1 euro, your company becomes the owner of its solar panels. And since a system has a lifespan of 25 years or more, you'll still enjoy a handsome profit for more than 15 years, since the electricity produced will cost you almost nothing.

Third-party investment more attractive in Brussels

For Brussels-based companies, the third-party investment formula offers yet another advantage. The Brussels-Capital Region is particularly generous when it comes to granting green certificates. As a result, Soltis often pays companies an annual rent for the 10 years of the contract in addition to financing their panels!

In Wallonia and Flanders, the green certificate regime is less lenient. While in Brussels it more than covers the cost of installation, this is far from being the case in the other two regions. In other words, it's the companies that have to pay rent to the third-party investor. However, this is less than the gain from energy savings. At the end of 2020, Wallonia and Flanders will further reduce their green certificate rates. Now is the time to launch your installation.

Third-party investment for your LED lighting too

Third-party investment is no longer confined to photovoltaic panels. Soltis now also offers a highly innovative contract to finance LED relamping for businesses.

Solar panels and LED lighting are an opportunity for businesses to take a big step towards a more carbon-neutral world, while making big savings at the same time. Why not make the most of it?
